Cleaning Instructions:

100% Olefin Fabrics

​

Tahoe's patterns Interweave, Venus and Neptune are olefin patterns and are made with 100% solution dyed yarns. Olefin is the only yarn that can use 100% bleach products. However, the CDC recommends household bleach diluted in water at 1.5 cups of bleach in a gallon of water for disinfection purposes. Please test in inconspicuous area first.

100% Polyester and Polyester/Olefin Blend Fabrics

Our polyester and polyester/olefin blend fabrics need to be treated more delicately when using bleach products. Please use a household bleach and form a 10% bleach solution by combining 1 cup bleach to 1 gallon of water. Please do not mix in a spray bottle and spray directly on the fabric. This may cause the fabric to become too saturated. Wipe dampened fabric with clean, dry cloth each time. Be aware that long term use of bleach products on polyester and poly/olefin blend can cause problems to the fabric stability. We recommend using a Hydrogen Peroxide based product instead such as Clorox's Hydrogen Peroxide Cleaner Disinfectant. This product is available in spray form for fabrics and can eliminate bacteria and viruses in 30 seconds. It contains no bleach, harsh fumes or added fragrances. Lysol's Clean & Fresh Multi-Surface Cleaner is also another recommended cleaner for 100% polyester and poly/olefin blend fabrics. This product has been implicated in various adverse health effects so you will want to use in well-ventilated areas, keep away from your children and pets and wash hard surfaces with clean water after use. Its positive effects are that it is EPA registered for its virus-fighting abilities and kills 99.9% of all viruses and bacteria. Again, please test in an inconspicuous area first.

Polyester/Cotton Blend Fabrics

For our polyester/cotton blend fabrics, you should not use any type of bleach products. We recommend only using a Hydrogen Peroxide based product instead such as Clorox's Hydrogen Peroxide Cleaner Disinfectant. This product is available in spray form for fabrics and can eliminate bacteria and viruses in 30 seconds. It contains no bleach, harsh fumes or added fragrances. Lysol's Clean & Fresh Multi-Surface Cleaner is also another recommended cleaner for polyester/cotton blend fabrics. With Imperviseal, Barricade™ and Barricade™ Plus Finish

For Liquids:

  -Blot with a dry cloth and wipe with clean water

​

For Soft and Dried Spots:

  -Wipe with water and a clean cloth then lightly brush with soft bristle brush. Mild detergents can be used for stubborn stains.
